Dave Leblond vs. Nico Yeyo
The Nico Yeyo fight came in at the last minute after the loss against Tsetsi Davis. A Canadian contestant had to pull out of the event for medical reasons.
After the solid performance that Leblond had delivered in the Davis fight, and also by the enthusiasm and love felt for him by the Jamaican fans, he was called in to replace the Canadian contestant.
Like all of the fighters in the cast, Yeyo was big and strong. He was a young fighter at the beginning of his career. By all accounts given to us by different boxing experts and fans, Yeyo was a slugger.
He carried the reputation of being able to end a fight very quickly with one punch.
We did not have a lot of time to prepare, but after what we had gone through with Davis who was also a very big fighter, the time was dedicated to preparing to fight larger and stronger boxers with specific adjustments.
At that moment François Duguay, one of the best trainers in Canada, became more and more involved with team Fast and Furious Leblond.
He began providing regular and constant advice.
When we first encountered Yeyo at the weigh in, we met a reserved and polite young man. It was evident by looking at his stature, that he was clearly in good shape and much stronger than Dave.

Results Of The Fight
Come fight night, however, it was a very odd and boring fight.
Yeyo was constantly grabbing Leblond, and points were deducted from his score card, which made Dave the clear winner. It was a unanimous decision.
After winning the fight, the Jamaican public further developed there love and appreciation for Dave Fast and Furious Leblond.
He proved that he had the heart to go against the big boys.
This win pushed us to the next phase of the Contender in which Dave would face an experienced and talented boxer named Phil Rose, a fellow Canadian from the Toronto area.

Dave Leblond vs. Nico Yeyo
La bataille de Nico Yeyo a eu lieu à la dernière minute après la défaite contre Tsetsi Davis. Un concurrent canadien a dû se retirer de la compétition pour des raisons médicales.
Après la solide performance que Leblond avait livrée dans le combat contre Davis, ainsi que par l’enthousiasme et l’amour éprouvés pour lui par les partisans jamaïcains, il a été appelé à remplacer le concurrent canadien.
Comme tous les combattants de la distribution, Yeyo était grand et fort. Il était un jeune combattant au début de sa carrière. Selon tous les comptes qui nous ont été donnés par différents experts et amateurs de boxe, Yeyo était un frappeur.
Il portait la réputation de pouvoir mettre fin à un combat très rapidement avec un coup de poing.
Nous n’avions pas beaucoup de temps pour nous préparer, mais après ce que nous avions vécu avec Davis qui était également un très grand combattant, le temps était consacré à se préparer à combattre des boxeurs plus grands et plus forts avec des ajustements spécifiques.
À ce moment-là, François Duguay, l’un des meilleurs entraîneurs du Canada, s’est de plus en plus impliqué dans l’équipe Fast and Furious Leblond.
Il a commencé à donner des conseils réguliers et constants.
Lorsque nous avons rencontré Yeyo pour la première fois à la pesée, nous avons rencontré un jeune homme réservé et poli. Il était évident en regardant sa stature, qu’il était clairement en forme et beaucoup plus fort que Dave.

Résultats Du Combat
Viens te battre la nuit, cependant, c’était un combat très étrange et ennuyeux.
Yeyo attrapait constamment Leblond, et des points étaient déduits de sa carte de score, ce qui faisait de Dave le vainqueur. C’était une décision unanime.
Après avoir remporté le combat, le public jamaïcain a développé son amour et sa reconnaissance pour Dave Fast et Furious Leblond.
Il a prouvé qu’il avait le coeur d’aller contre les grands garçons.
Cette victoire nous a conduit à la prochaine phase du concours dans laquelle Dave affronterait un boxeur expérimenté et talentueux nommé Phil Rose, un compatriote de la région de Toronto.
