The Phil Rose fight came in 2 weeks after the Nico Yeyo bout.
It was the third fight in 4 weeks facing bigger fighters, and it had taken a toll on Dave’s physical condition…
Regardless, Phil Rose and his trainer, Don Nelson, were 2 true gentlemen to the sport and shared with us and the Jamaican fans, an amazing display of sportsmanship and skills.
It was a great bout on all aspects!
Dave showed all the heart that he has.
He gave all that he could.
Despite his tremendous drive, his determination to win, the great advice from François Duguay, and all the support we could provide to Dave, 3 fights in 4 weeks were showing their effect…
In the end, the bigger and more experienced Rose won the fight.
Phil Rose went on to fight Sakima Mullings from Jamaica in the finals.
After the fight we enjoyed an drink together in New Kingston. I look forward to meeting these two gentlemen again, they are a class act!

Le combat de Phil Rose a eu lieu deux semaines après le combat avec Nico Yeyo.
C’était le troisième combats en 4 semaines face à des combattants plus gros et cela a eu un impact négatif sur la condition physique de Dave.
Quoi qu’il en soit, Phil Rose et son entraîneur, Don Nelson, étaient deux vrais Gentlemen du sport, Ils ont partagé avec nous et les fans Jamaïcains un étonnant niveau d’esprit sportif et d’habiletés.
C’était un excellent combat sur tous les plans!
Dave a montré ce qu’il a dans le coeur, il a donné tout ce qu’il a pu, malgré sa grande motivation, sa détermination à gagner, les conseils avisés de François Duguay et tout le soutien que nous pouvions apporter à Dave, 3 combats en 4 semaines montraient leur effet.
À la fin, Rose, le plus massif et plus expérimenté, remporta le combat et passa en finale contre Sakima Mullings de la Jamaïque.
Après le combat, nous avons pris un verre ensemble à New Kingston. J’ai hâte de revoir ces deux messieurs, quelle classe!
